Enactus Windsor excels in regional competition

Windsor teams topped two categories and placed second in two others in competition during the Enactus Regional Exhibition, held online April 8.

The annual exposition brings together student, academic, and industry leaders to celebrate the achievements of Canada’s future leaders and entrepreneurs across central Canada. The virtual component was a first for the event, which included colleges and universities from Ontario and Québec.

Enactus Windsor competed in four categories, winning the CWB Financial Education Challenge and the TD Entrepreneurship Challenge, and placing runner-up in the Scotiabank Youth Empowerment Challenge and Scotiabank Climate Challenge.

Enactus Windsor — a student-run experiential learning opportunity funded and supported by the Odette School of Business — helps students create community projects dedicated to improving quality of life in the Windsor-Essex region. During regional and national exhibitions, students showcase how their community outreach projects and business ventures are making an impact in their communities and beyond.

Both the financial education and entrepreneurship teams will compete virtually at the national exhibition in May alongside the Nationals team against representatives from colleges and universities all over the country.
