Pledge to double contributions on May 5 day of giving

On Tuesday, May 5, a global day of giving and unity will take place as an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19. Here at UWindsor, many students continue to face financial challenges as a result of the pandemic.

Join the movement and support UWindsor students — and your donation will be doubled! The first $10,000 donated on May 5 will be matched by a pledge from Bernarda Camello Doctor. Donations can be made to the Student Relief Fund, campus food pantry, or towards student research opportunities.

Chris Knack, co-ordinator of the Annual Giving Program, says the day is a chance for even those separated by the dictates of social distancing to act in unison.

“On May 5th, please support our UWindsor students,” he says. “We are all in this together, and together we can make a difference.”

You can also tune in to a live broadcast at noon that day to hear more about the day of giving, the impact of COVID-19 on the lives of students, and the many ways our UWindsor community is rising to the challenges posed by the pandemic. UWindsor president Robert Gordon and Beth Ann Prince, president of the University of Windsor Alumni Association, will both be guests on the broadcast. Watch for more details forthcoming.
