Continuing Education course to respond to current needs of regional organizations

As preparations for a new normal commence, Continuing Education is adjusting course offerings to help individuals and organizations navigate these turbulent times by offering its course, Leadership and Change Management for Project Managers, online beginning June 8.

Originally slated as an in-person course, the class will move online to coincide with provincial guidelines and the increase in community demand, explains Jennie Atkins, executive director.

“There are so many changes and uncertainties coming our way these days,” she says. “The need for nimble, effective project leaders is in high demand, and will be for the foreseeable future.”

Continuing Education has transitioned most its offerings to online formats and has seen a positive response to the change.

“Meeting the needs of the broader community is one of our primary mandates and in times like these, we are happy to rise to the occasion and support our region by providing opportunities that will equip organizations big and small to plan accordingly,” says Atkins.

After taking this course, participants will be positioned to lead projects and teams by implementing change management concepts that allow organizations to mitigate the current environment of unknowns as best as possible in order to plan for changes ahead.

The course is six half-day sessions to accommodate working professionals and online learning. Registration is open to all with no prerequisites. As always, Continuing Education offers a UWindsor staff and alumni discount on all offerings. Learn more on the course webpage.
