Staying hydrated helps you fight fatigue and stay alert, advises the Department of Human Resources in the first of a new series of weekly wellness tips for faculty and staff.
The tip provided by the Windsor Community Health Centre suggests:
- keeping a reusable water bottle on hand to refill through the day, and
- adding lemon, cucumber, or mint for a burst of refreshing flavour.
“Remember to limit caffeinated drinks, as too much caffeine can cause trouble sleeping, irritability, rapid heart rate, and headaches,” says dietitian Sara Perissinotti.
