Care for body and mind, advises wellness tip

Taking care of your overall health means paying attention to your body as well as your mind, according to a message shared with UWindsor employees Monday.

The Department of Human Resources circulated a wellness tip to faculty and staff that listed some simple ways to improve physical and mental health:

  • Turn off devices such as cell phones and computers at least one hour before bed to improve sleep quality.
  • Get your heart pumping to your favourite tunes; playing motivational music can inspire people to become more physically active.
  • Drink water. Staying hydrated is important for your physical and mental health.
  • Practice doing breathing exercises to relax, reduce tension, and relieve stress.
