Lancer Gaming took on the Queen’s Golden Gaels this past Wednesday in Ontario Post-Secondary Esports (OPSE) League of Legends’ (LoL) action.
For the Lancers, this was their first post-season game in inaugural OPSE action through which the Gaels delivered an upset in just under one hour and 30 minutes of play.
Game Summary:
Game 1: “Osama Al Eisawy ‘ir0n3d’ held his ground in the Jungle against a tough enemy laner though Firas Al-Khulaidy ‘yourboyelmo’ and Braeden Hutchinson ‘Yee Boi b hutch’ experienced trouble in the Mid and Top lanes as Queen’s maintained map pressure on the board that led to their win,” said Windsor’s head coach Ali Abduelmula. Queen’s, 1-0.
Game 2: “This match was extremely close with Windsor edging Queen’s the whole way by a kill said Abduelmula. Mark Barkou "Brasilian Goku" at Support had tough competition against the enemy ADC though enemy Bot lane pressure helped Queen’s take Windsor in the end. Queen’s, 2-0.
“In comparison to our first meeting during the regular season, our team greatly improved to go toe-to-toe with the Gaels,” said Coach Abduelmula. “We look forward to our next post-season match-up next week.”
Lancer Gaming will contest its next OPSE post-season season match on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, with its competitor to be announced.
