Campus eatery surveying patrons on grab ’n’ go options

As the campus prepares to welcome returning staff and faculty, restaurateur Adam El-Dika wants to meet their needs — and their expectations.

His eatery, located adjacent to the Education Building, transitioned from a Mediterranean menu to a burger-based bill of fare.

“The Whamburg concept has been well-received by students, but we know that faculty and staff are going to miss Mare Nostrum,” says El-Dika. “We are looking to purchase a cooler that can hold some of Mare Nostrum’s top-selling items as a grab ’n’ go model.”

He is inviting feedback on which dishes — salads, wraps, soups, dips — would prove most in demand. The online survey is available at https://forms.gle/gaKfJdqAx18RBEo26.

“We’re really hoping to see folks on campus soon,” El-Dika says. “And when you return, we want to be able to offer some of your old favourites.”
