Online donations sought for Adopt-a-Family program

The alumni office is encouraging UWindsor faculty, staff, students, and grads to make a donation to the Windsor-Essex Children’s Aid Foundation’s Holiday Program part of their charitable efforts.

The program brings cheer to more than 800 local families in need. Donations help to provide gifts for the holiday season including clothing, toys, and household items.

Pandemic restrictions suspended the University community’s traditional “Adopt-a-Family” collection of goods, but the need is still there, says alumni relations director Patti Lauzon.

“Even though we didn’t collect actual gifts this year, we want to make it easy for our UWindsor family to donate directly to this important program,” she says.

Donations are tax-deductible. The link to the online donation form is available on the alumni website.
