The Flexible Work Arrangements task force has completed the development of the guidelines which will introduce flexible work options to eligible staff.
Factors such as operational and service needs of a department, essential duties of a position, and the potential impact on the student experience have informed the Flexible Arrangement Program.
A survey of supervisors and staff deployed in January had a response rate of close to 62 per cent, reports Marcela Ciampa, director of organizational development and training.
βThe information gathered through these surveys reaffirmed the vision and guiding principles for the program and highlighted key themes that have been addressed in the FWA Program Guidelines,β she says.
The task force is currently developing tools and resources to support implementing the program at the departmental level with the goal of launching in early May 2022. Information sessions for supervisors are planned for mid-April.
Ciampa encourages the campus community to visit the Flexible Works Arrangements website for more information and regular updates. Direct questions and comments to flexiblework@uwindsor.ca.
