Bootcamp an outlet for student problem-solving skills

An intensive four-day program during Reading Week will challenge students to use creative thinking to address a problem and to learn tools to bring their solution to life.

The VentureU Skills bootcamp is open to UWindsor students in all disciplines and will provide training in

  • problem-centric ideation,
  • problem-solution fit,
  • market and competitive environment scanning,
  • seeking and analyzing feedback,
  • intellectual property fundamentals,
  • pitching, presenting, and sales,

and more.

Participants will work in teams to create a solution to a selected automobility problem. Those who complete the program will receive a $200 award and have a chance to win one of two $500 prizes during the final presentations.

The bootcamp, presented by the Entrepreneurship Practice and Innovation Centre (EPICentre), runs Feb. 21 to 24 and is free to attend, including breakfast and lunch each day.
