Civil engineering professor Rupp Carriveau is the sole academic invited to present at a summit for the electric power industry on June 12.
Nothing says “let’s celebrate!” like free cake, says Alisa Giroux-Soulliere, and reaching 10,000 likes on Facebook is something to celebrate.
“It shows the sense of community that surrounds the University,” she said.
Social media coordinator in the Office of Public Affairs and Communications, Giroux-Soulliere presided over the distribution of about 200 pieces of cake Wednesday in the CAW Student Centre.
“People were happy to get the cake and the students said it was a cool tie-in for the last day of classes,” she said.
