College taking parallel paths to meeting students’ food needs

Iona College offers two very different services aimed at providing UWindsor students with nutritious food: a twice-weekly dinner and the North Campus Food Bank.

The United Church affiliate hosts home-cooked dinners Mondays and Thursdays at 5 p.m. in its Hoffman Auditorium. In addition to a hot entrée and a vegetarian option, the meal includes salad, bread, fruit, cookies, coffee and tea—and costs $3.

The building at 208 Sunset Avenue also houses a food bank for the use of UWindsor students. It provides a variety of non-perishable items.
