Rocket Innovation Studio signs on as partner in Applied Leadership program

The University of Windsor will partner with Rocket Innovation Studio as its Industry Project Partner in Continuing Education’s Applied Leadership Program beginning this fall.

“Rocket Innovation Studio is excited to continue our relationship with the University of Windsor by joining as an industry partner for the Continuing Education Applied Leadership course,” says Jasen Sams, vice-president of Rocket Innovation Studio.

“This will be a great opportunity to have a diverse group of industry professionals and introduce them to real-world scenarios that Rocket Innovation Studio faces as we serve an international client base. We will also show them the various techniques and practical experience that Rocket Innovation Studio leverages every day. Lastly, this partnership will show technologists the Rocket Innovation Studio brand, culture, and values as an employer here in Windsor.”

The program offers participants the opportunity to make professional connections with industry leaders, and hone leadership and soft skills through real-world challenges. Participants will be encouraged to inspire action in others by practising hands-on tactics and acquiring the necessary skills to lead resilient teams to successful outcomes, culminating in an industry-sponsored capstone project.

“We are delighted to be working with Rocket Innovation Studio as our Industry Project Partner for the fall term,” said Jennie Atkins, executive director of Continuing Education. “The tech sector’s growth rate continues to thrive and Rocket’s leadership in fintech and IT solutions makes them an ideal partner for the applied nature of this program. Real-case scenarios featured within the courses are sure to engage participants and challenge their approach to problem solving.”

Organizations are encouraged to send key individuals who require leadership training or have been identified as potential leaders in their companies.

The program is online and open for registration to current and aspiring managers, supervisors, and industry leaders. The eight half-day modules take place on Thursdays, 5 to 8:30 p.m., Oct. 13 to Dec. 1.
