New wireless network to connect residence students

Students living on campus will experience a more “at home-like” connection to the internet, thanks to a new wireless network just for them.

UWindsor_Residence features more ports and increased throughput for a “more open” feeling than other campus wireless connections. Residence students will find the network listed as “uwindsor_residence” on their wireless devices.

Along with the extra features and openness comes greater responsibility and accountability for students to adhere to the University’s policies, says Information Technology Services. Students who receive warnings for piracy will be deemed to be contravening University policy, which may result in suspension from the residence network.
