Student newspaper soliciting ideas for special issue

Do you have ideas about the city of Windsor? How it looks? How it runs?

The Lance student newspaper is inviting Windsor university and community members to submit letters to the city for publication in its premiere Ideas Issue, April 18.

“It’s all about ideas for changing Windsor,” says editor-in-chief Natasha Marar. “Urban planning, community involvement, social issues, the environment, the economy, arts and culture and many more are all going to be covered. The goal is to talk about Windsor’s future. No idea is too outlandish or too small.”

She says submissions can take the form of love letters, poems, hate mail, drawings and comics, ranging from a few sentences to a few hundred words.

“An idea can inspire,” Marar says. “An idea can enact change. It can be the root of something wonderful.”

The deadline for submissions is Saturday, April 14. Visit uwindsorlance.ca/ideas for more information.
