Business grad hoping to make national mark as young entrepreneur

A UWindsor business grad is hoping his alma mater can help get him named Canada’s young entrepreneur of the year. Michael Kaye (MBA 2008) is under consideration for Profit magazine’s FuEL Awards; public voting will count for 20 per cent of the final score.

“If I am selected in the top 20 entrepreneurs it will result in tremendous publicity for Alexa Translations,” the company he runs with fellow Odette grad Gary Kalaci (BSc 2005, LLB 2009, MBA 2009), says Kaye.

Making it that far would win him a profile in the December 2012 issue of the national publication as well as a one-day business consultation with professionals from KPMG Enterprise. Winning outright would earn him free admission to businesses conferences organized by the magazine.

The voting continues through July 31. Learn more, including how to register to vote, on Kaye’s nomination page.
