Dignitaries, donors and invited guests will be on hand Friday, May 31, as the University of Windsor celebrates the official grand opening of the Ed Lumley Centre for Engineering Innovation.
The building opened to students in September 2012 and represents the largest capital investment in the University’s history.
A ceremony at 10 a.m. in the building’s atrium will inaugurate the $112 million facility. Its 91,000 square metres of space includes more than 80 teaching and research laboratories, eight classrooms, more than a dozen student meeting rooms and the Industrial Courtyard—a breeding ground for joint industry-university research projects.
Half-hour guided tours through the building leave from the biowall at noon, 1 and 2 p.m.
