Open house to celebrate birthday of campus stalwart

An open house celebration this weekend will mark the 80th birthday of UWindsor retiree George McMahon.

McMahon joined the University’s faculty in 1963 as a professor of history. He later served as the University’s first dean of students, assistant vice-president student services and assistant vice-president alumni affairs, before his retirement in 1996.

He has written four books tracing the roots of the University and the roles of some of its remarkable founders.

Please join McMahon’s family to celebrate from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, September 8, at the Caboto Club—2175 Parent Avenue at Tecumseh. Best wishes only!
