Whether you are part of the University of Windsor’s 50-year history or a current student who will shape its next 50 years, a contest celebrating the anniversary is a golden opportunity to share your stories.

The 50th Anniversary Video Contest offers a prize of a voucher for two-round trip flights on Porter Airlines to any destination within its network, at an estimated value of $2500. It is open only to UWindsor to alumni, students, and current or retired faculty and staff.

Each video must be between one and three minutes and highlight at least two of the following aspects of the UWindsor experience:

• a service that has made a difference;
• a staff or faculty member who has encouraged you succeed;
• a project or course that has allowed you to evolve;
• your favourite, most inspiring campus space.

Organizer Alisa Giroux-Souilliere, social media coordinator in the Office of Public Affairs and Communications, is looking forward to seeing the submissions.

“People have such fantastic stories about their experiences here at the University of Windsor,” she says. “We wanted to give them a platform to share their stories. What better time than now, as we celebrate our first half-century?”

She adds that she is excited about the prize.

“This was such a generous contribution from our sponsor, Porter Airlines,” she says. “I hope it will generate a lot of interest in the contest, and it will certainly create some new memories for the winner.”
