Concert to raise funds for Philippine typhoon victims

UWindsor voice instructor Lesley Andrew will join musicians from across campus and the community for a Typhoon Haiyan Benefit Concert, 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 4, at the Capitol Theatre. In early November, the storm tore through Southeast Asia, killing more than 5,000 people and affecting millions more.

This special performance is presented by musicians from Windsor Symphony Orchestra, the Windsor Symphony Youth Orchestra, the Windsor Community Orchestra, members of Project Harmony, and the Salin Lahi Dance Troupe, in collaboration with the Filipino Community Centre.

Tickets are $20; all proceeds will benefit the relief organization GlobalMedic. Learn more on the Windsor Symphony Orchestra website.
