UWindsor receives no-board report in faculty negotiations

The Ministry of Labour has issued a no-board report at the request of the University of Windsor, which puts the administration in a legal lock-out position and the Windsor University Faculty Association in a legal strike position, subject to a strike vote, as of 12:01 a.m. on Thursday, July 3.

The University negotiating team had requested the no-board report to enable the conciliation officer to become a mediator in an effort to reach an agreement by the time the current contract expires on June 30. Notice of its issuance was made public on Tuesday.

Mediation sessions are set for June 17, 18, 20, 24, 25 and 26. The faculty association represents more than 850 academic staff, including faculty, librarians and sessional instructors.
