HK offering two-for-one deal on body composition assessments

An assessment in the Human Kinetics’ Bod Pod is a great way to start the new year, says professor Marcia Milne.

The device, which uses whole-body densitometry to determine the relative body fat vs. lean muscle mass, can provide guidance for a new fitness or diet regime.

“The machine provides very accurate assessments quickly and safely,” says Dr. Milne. “Those measurements can be used by clients or their personal trainers to set goals and determine progress.”

The human performance and health lab is offering two assessments for the $40 price of one, until January 30.

“Come in with a friend and pay only $20 each, or have one test done now to set the baseline and save one for later in the year—the before-and-after test,” Milne says.

To purchase the test online, visit the Campus Recreation site and enter activity “2031.” Then contact Milne to set up an appointment at 519-253-3000, ext. 4999, or e-mail milne7@uwindsor.ca.
