Event to help entrepreneurs find business matches

Entrepreneurs can find their startup business match during the Entrepreneurship Practice and Innovation Centre (EPICentre) “Startup Mashup,” 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 23.

The event will give students and entrepreneurs the opportunity to introduce their business ideas to possible partners, or use their skills to join one.

“Students are often looking to participate in startups, but have trouble finding those who require their specific skills,” says Nicole Anderson, EPICentre’s program director.

“We get requests on the opposite end,” she says. “There are many startups with founders who specialize in one specific area, but what succeeds the most is a multi-disciplinary team.”

Admission is free for UWindsor and St. Clair students. For more information, visit http://www.epicentreuwindsor.ca/event-single/?event_id=21 , and to register, go to www.epicentreuwindsor.ca/events.

The event is set for EPIC Innovation, one of three business incubators at EPICentre. It is dedicated to business start-ups created by students and recent graduates of the University of Windsor or St. Clair College with innovative and well-protected intellectual property and a strong business model or plan.
