Special menu to mark anniversary of Nigerian independence

The Chef to U station in the Marketplace will serve favourite dishes of Nigeria on Thursday in honour of the African nation’s independence celebration.

A Nigerian cook will join the culinary crew to prepare the special menu:

  • beef suya, meat skewers
  • grilled chicken
  • creamy coleslaw
  • fried rice
  • jollof rice and beans
  • fried plantain

for both lunch and dinner. The day will also feature musical entertainment and festive decorations.

Nigeria won its independence from the British empire on October 1, 1960.
