Organization providing guide to youth voters

In the last federal election, nearly two out of every three young people did not vote, says the Council of Canadians.

The non-profit organization has issued a five-step guide on how to cast a ballot on October 19:

  1. Decide which riding to vote in.
  2. Register online.
  3. Get the right ID.
  4. Find out where to vote.
  5. Vote!

The council’s website points out that governments make decisions that affect students, from loans and debt levels, to job opportunities, taxes and more. Read its full guide, with tips on each of the steps above.
