Residence reception lauds academic achievements

UWindsor students living on campus excel in many ways—including in their academic pursuits—Diane Rawlings, the head of residence services, told a reception Wednesday for top-achieving residence students.

“We know that learning happens in and outside of the classroom, so our goal is to give you more than just a place to live. It’s about creating a learning environment that complements and supports your academic program,” she told attendees.

“We create many opportunities for leadership development, expand your knowledge and appreciation of the community around you, and in doing so, we contribute to your personal development.”

The February 3 event celebrated the accomplishments of undergraduate residence students with an academic average of at least A-, as well as those who held leadership positions while earning an average of B+ or above.
