Football game to kick off week’s worth of welcome events

Hundreds of students are anticipated to attend the family-friendly tailgate party behind the stadium stands on Monday, September 5, at 11:30 a.m. The tailgate party is a traditional UWindsor Welcome event in anticipation of the Lancer football home opener, this year against the Guelph Gryphons, at 1 p.m.

In addition to a complimentary lunch provided by Firehouse Catering, the party will feature live entertainment, face painting, games, and many giveaways.

The event is one of many scheduled for UWindsor Welcome Week.

Sunday’s highlight is guest speaker Harlan Cohen, who will shine light on navigating the world of relationships in university from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Residence Quad. Come early and grab a plate of free pasta sponsored by Food Services.
