Food Services to ladle out support for charity

Campus Food Services staff will contribute a pot of soup to the fight against heart disease and stroke.

The Windsor-Essex branch of the Heart and Stoke Foundation of Canada is holding its fundraising Great Soup Kitchen on Thursday, March 29, at the St. Clair College Centre for the Arts.

The event will feature an all-you-can-eat selection of more than 40 soups prepared by local restaurants, as well as entertainment and giveaways for the $10 cost of admission.

UWindsor executive chef Paolo Vasapolli says the campus entry will consist of a parsnip purée with coconut foam, lime, and mint dust.

The event runs 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 201 Riverside Drive West. For more information or to purchase tickets online, visit www.thegreatsoupkitchen.com.
