Bake sale to benefit family charity

Students in the Community Psychology course taught by professor Ted Vokes will hold a bake sale Thursday as a benefit for the agency Ready-Set-Go.

Organizers plan to use the proceeds to purchase toys for its programs, which support families of children up to six years old living in Windsor’s downtown core. Ready-Set-Go assists families in overcoming obstacles, including hardships associated with being newcomers to Canada, poverty, neglect, social isolation, poor health, and inadequate nutrition.

The sale will run 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 13 in the lobby of the Toldo Health Education Centre.
