Deadline approaching for work-study job proposals

Job proposals for the 2020-21 Ignite Work Study program are due by noon Wednesday, July 22.

Ignite is a co-curricular experiential learning program run by Career Development & Experiential Learning (CDEL) that funds part-time jobs at the University of Windsor.

If approved for funding, supervisors can be reimbursed for a wage subsidy up to $1,000 per semester to hire an eligible student. The program is open to all UWindsor students — some restrictions apply; view the Ignite website for details.

Job proposals must:

  • provide an opportunity for a student to apply their skills and knowledge in an authentic work setting with real workplace demands;
  • identify at least one competency that can be developed by students that take on the role;
  • articulate at least one learning outcome that can be achieved by students that take on the role;
  • incorporate direct supervision, mentorship, and feedback by one or more faculty or staff members.

Find additional details and the submission form on the program website. Direct questions to Samantha Desrosiers at ignite@uwindsor.ca.
