Finalists selected in virtual business case competition

Judges have selected a shortlist of teams to advance to Round 2 in a business case competition to address a real-world challenge in health systems managing the coronavirus pandemic.

The Supply Chain Advancement Network in Health (SCAN Health), hosted by the Odette School of Business, asked students to provide advice to the Government of Canada on the development of a co-ordinated healthcare supply chain to support health systems in sourcing critical supplies, such as personal protective equipment.

Entries came in from business schools in 11 countries and have been narrowed to 12 teams. Former dean of the Odette School of Business, professor emeritus Allan Conway, is chairing the panel of judges adjudicating submissions.

The winners will have the opportunity to win cash prizes and present at HIMSS21 Global Health Conference and Exhibition in Las Vegas. Find more information, including the second-round competitors, on the SCAN Health website.
