Study seeking young adults managing type 1 diabetes

Are you a young adult between the ages of 18 and 25? Have you been diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes?

If you answered “Yes” to both those questions, psychology professor Jessica Kichler wants to learn more about your experience managing diabetes on a college or university campus.

Dr. Kichler is an associate professor and clinical psychologist in the Department of Psychology. She is working on a research study about the experiences of college or university students living with type 1 diabetes and is recruiting them to participate in an interview and survey.

Results will help to explore the possibilities of making improvements in higher education systems for diabetes management. The project has been cleared by the UWindsor Research Ethics Board.

Find details on the research and flyers recruiting young adults as well as parents and diabetes care providers on Kichler’s website.
