Jurist to discuss impact of Ukraine invasion on international law

An expert on international law will consider the implications of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in a public lecture March 28.

Chile Eboe-Osuji, Paul Martin Sr. Chair in Political Science, International Relations, and Law at the University of Windsor, will deliver a presentation entitled “International Law after the Ukraine Invasion: Filling Yearning Gaps,” on Zoom at 2 p.m. Monday.

Dr. Eboe-Osuji served as president of the International Criminal Court until March 2021. Before joining that organization, he was the legal advisor to the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights. He took up a two-year appointment as the Paul Martin Professor in July 2021. The position honours Paul Martin Sr., who represented Windsor for more than three decades in Canada’s Parliament.
