Registration Days to offer in-person and virtual support for new students

Planning to register for courses can be challenging for new students. Faculty-based and central academic advising teams, the Office of the Registrar, and Student Recruitment are dedicated to making it as easy as possible for the newest members of the UWindsor family to make a successful start to their university careers.

As a part of New Student Registration Days, representatives from admissions, academic advising, and recruitment will be on hand to help new students plan and register for their fall classes during drop-in hours offered on weekdays, May 19 through June 1 from 1 to 5 p.m.

In alignment with the May 19 opening of the course registration system Shopping Cart and the launch of the registration system on May 26, the program will provide focused live support for new undergraduate students looking for assistance as they plan and register for their first term, first-year courses.

This dedicated service is a part of a more extensive suite of planning tools and resources available at future.uwindsor.ca/plan-your-program, covering the basics, from understanding subject codes to seeing the specific courses required for each program.

With the June 1 deadline for Ontario Secondary School students to accept their offers quickly approaching, the whole focus is to support students to confirm their offers of admission and prepare their academic schedules for fall, get them excited about what their first term at UWindsor will look like, and reinforce that the University of Windsor is the very best choice for September 2022.

Academic program partners have contributed on-demand recorded presentations to help incoming students learn about their course offerings and identify the unique learning opportunities in the first term.
