UWindsor athletics director Mike Havey received recognition from U Sports at its annual awards dinner Tuesday.
The national university sports governing body conferred on Havey the L.B. Mike Pearson Award, honouring a person who has exemplified the ideals and purposes of interuniversity athletics and amateur sport. The award is named for Canada’s 14th prime minister, who coached the University of Toronto hockey and football teams while serving as a history professor.
Havey will retire at the end of June after 31 years service to the University of Windsor, including the past seven years as athletic director. Read more at goLancers.ca.
