Blog provides a visitor’s view of University and area

A German tourism management student is sharing her impressions of the University of Windsor and surrounding communities online.

Louisa Kerling loves to travel, meet new people, and experience other cultures. During a visit to the area, she is writing a travel blog that brings Windsor-Essex a little closer to curious international students and visitors.

Her blog discusses local amenities, attractions, and events, and is full of helpful tips for international students eyeing the University of Windsor.

“I wanted to share my experiences from a first-time visitor and foreign student’s perspective,” says Kerling. “I’ve discovered and seen a lot of wonderful things along the way, made a few mistakes — thankfully minor ones — and met some great people.

“I’m sure what I’ll share will help those interested in visiting this campus, this area, and some other cities in Canada.”

Kerling’s travels to date have been local, but she plans more for outside of Essex County. Follow her blog, or sign up for Windsor Engineering’s Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram to stay up-to-date on her travels.
