Incoming transfer and first-year science and engineering students can prepare for classes through the UWindsor Prep Program.
Offered every summer, the program provides a condensed review of the grade 12 curriculum, readying students for their first year of post-secondary studies before starting in the fall.
Courses within the program include:
- advanced functions and problem-solving strategies
Biology, chemistry, and calculus classes consist of 30 hours of live, online instruction, while advanced functions and physics consist of 30 hours of hybrid learning (10 hours of live, online instruction and 20 hours of asynchronous learning). Classes are delivered through Blackboard, which will help students become familiar with the learning management system prior to beginning classes in the fall.
Course instructors lead academically geared programs and are qualified secondary level teachers. They create an engaging online learning environment, with small class sizes which allow for individualized attention to support student success.
Each course can be taken individually, and a certificate of participation will be issued by University of Windsor Continuing Education upon completion.
The first class starts July 18. Visit the Continuing Education website for full details and schedules.
Students and dependents of staff and alumni are eligible for various discounts on enrolment. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
