Scholarships to encourage automotive careers

A new scholarship program is intended to attract and invest in top talent driving the success of Canada’s automotive sector.

The Future of Work Scholarship Program will award eight scholarships worth $2,500 each to post-secondary students in any year of study pursuing a future in the industry.

Eligible courses of study include:

  • Engineering – including but not limited to chemical, computer, electrical, environmental, mechanical, materials areas of studies.
  • Skilled trades – including but not limited to mould makers, tool and die, millwright, electric and mechanical technicians.
  • Cross-border logistics – including but not limited to supply-chain management, cyber-security, GIS, and sustainable transportation.
  • Policy leadership – including business management, public administration, international law, and environment studies with an eye to automotive application.

The program is a partnership between Invest WindsorEssex and the Automotive Parts Manufacturer’s Association. Applications will close Sept. 30. Find more information on the APMA website.
