Recruiters hitting the road to reach out

A hectic schedule of school visits, education fairs, and online information events is well underway, says Beth Natale, director of student recruitment, with her staff travelling locally, across Ontario, and globally to promote the University of Windsor and generate Lancer pride, leads, and applications.

Student recruitment officer Simon du Toit led the training of some of the newest members of the team: recruitment advisors Taylor Conte, Erin Kenny, Achol Bab, Nina Korac, Mustapha Zghal, and Moemoe Al Hakani. Dr. du Toit says he is excited about their contributions.

“This year’s team has a wide range of academic backgrounds, but they are united in their strong passion for UWindsor and their excellent communication skills,” he says.

Recruiters will connect with students at schools into late November. A primary objective, Natale says, is to motivate participants to share their contact information so that representatives of the University may continue the conversation.

With the support of campus partners, the recruitment team is offering prospective students an opportunity to win a free first term — tuition, books, residence, and a meal plan — to maximize the opportunity to collect lead data.

“Through December and January, we’ll shift gears to assist with the application process at schools, online, and at the Welcome Centre, providing support for anyone needing help in completing their application,” Natale says. “We extend a big thank-you to the many campus partners who supported our learning through academic consultations in the spring, information updates and facilities tours in September, and who have joined us at local visits.

“Simply put, we can not do this without your support!”
