Joan Dalton arrived on the University of Windsor campus in 1978 to begin studies toward an MA in English. She added an MLIS degree at Western University before returning to Leddy Library to launch her professional career as an academic librarian.
Dalton’s 32 years of service to the university include a decade as associate university librarian, a year as acting university librarian, and most recently two years as executive director of the ERP project to implement the UWinsite system on campus.
Friends and colleagues are invited to gather to celebrate her upcoming retirement at an open house reception on Friday, Nov. 11. The event will run 12 to 2 p.m. in room 4108, on the fourth floor of Leddy Library main.
