Swedish electronic artist to headline student music festival

Saying the concert is about more than music, the University of Windsor Students’ Alliance announced Tuesday a preliminary line-up for its Coming Home Music Festival, scheduled for September 5 at Windsor’s riverfront festival plaza.

“The UWSA’s concert, like our university and our city, will be the best across the country because it will be about more than the music,” said Alyssa Atkins, the alliance’s vice-president administration. “This is about us … being more capable, innovative, and bold than anyone believed.”

Business alum shares secrets of leadership

Richard Peddie took up his new appointment as leader-in-residence at the Odette School of Business with a morning address to a packed auditorium Wednesday.

Peddie – a UWindsor grad (BComm 1970, honorary LLD 2001) and recently-retired president of Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment – spoke to his vision of producing business leaders of the future. He peppered his talk with stories from his career spanning three decades of senior executive roles in some of Canada’s most prominent organizations.
