The inaugural StartUP Festival features one-act plays by graduating students in the BFA Acting program.
The StartUP Theatre Festival will feature 20-minute performance pieces by each of the 16 graduating BFA acting students.

In partnership with Toronto theatre company Outside the March, the players are presenting a series of new Canadian works commissioned for the graduating BFA in Acting class.
The project also serves as research material for drama professor Michelle MacArthur and her team, who are working under a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council grant to examine the impact of live digital performance with analysis of the creative process and audience experience.
University Players will use technology to address the challenges of performance while social distancing.
Tickets go on sale today for the Zoom-based performances by University Players of new works specially commissioned from four Canadian playwrights.
