Students who graduated from an Ontario College of Applied Arts and Technology with a diploma in these programs (Child and Youth Worker, Developmental Services Worker, Early Childhood Education,Educational Support, Social Services Worker) with an overall B average or better may apply for the BA Honours in Disability Studies for College of Applied Arts and Technology Graduates through the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre.
Once accepted at the University of Windsor, students should arrange for an official transcript to be sent to the Office of the Registrar by the College of Applied Arts and Technology they were attending.

This 30-course program will enable students to complete the requirements for the BA Honours in Disability Studies in three years of full-time study.
Students admitted to this program may take a maximum of seven 100-level University of Windsor courses. The other 23 courses required for program completion should be second, third or fourth-year courses.
If students previously completed university courses that were used by the College of Applied Arts and Technology to grant them advanced standing toward their diploma, these courses cannot be used to fulfill the 30-course degree requirements. If these courses are equivalent to University of Windsor courses required for the Disability Studies program, the Disability Studies Committee will identify substitute course requirements.
In this program, students in Year One learn the basics of academic writing, social justice, and psychology that provide the foundation for the Disability Studies program. In Years Two and Three, students complete core Disability Studies courses and Disability Studies-Emphasis courses.
