Kirsten Watt

Kirsten attained her Bachelor of Arts in Drama from the University of Alberta in Edmonton, and specialized in lighting design at the National Theatre School of Canada in Montreal. She has designed over twenty productions for University Players, including last season's six shows: Love and Information, God of Carnage, The Penelopiad, Journey's End, A Streetcar Named Desire, and Mr. Burns: A Post-Electric Play. Elsewhere, Kirsten has designed lighting for: the Shaw Festival, Centaur Theatre, the Segal Centre, Théâtre du Rideau Vert, Neptune Theatre, Watermark Theatre, Gros Morne Theatre Festival, Baddeck Theatre, Sudbury Theatre Centre, Magnus Theatre, Thousand Islands Playhouse, Drayton Entertainment, Lost&Found Theatre, Carousel Players, Lyndesfarne Theatre Projects, Essential Collective Theatre, Teesri Duniya, Hart House Theatre, Theatre Sheridan, George Brown, Concordia University, and the University of Waterloo. Kirsten is a member of Associated Designers of Canada, and L’Association des Professionnels des Arts de la Scène du Québec.
