The university introduced Drupal 7 websites in early 2014.
Training for Drupal 7 and a private staging server have been available since that time and site owners have been encouraged to make the switch from Drupal 6 to Drupal 7.
Given the amount of time that has passed since people were asked to switch, and the resource costs invloved, the university only supports Drupal 6 sites at a maintenance level.
Specifically, if your Drupal 6 site breaks, it will be fixed.
However, Public Affairs no longer provides training or graphic design services for Drupal 6 and IT Services no longer provides custom programming.
No new Drupal 6 sites will be created.
All support for Drupal 6 will eventually be eliminated.
