Qualifications:  B.Sc., M.Sc. (Menofiya University, Egypt), Ph.D. (University of Sherbrooke, Canada), P.Eng. (Ontario).
    
Research:
Laboratory large scale experimental investigations and finite element modeling of the structural behaviour;
♦ Long-term durability performance;
♦ Strengthening and rehabilitation of concrete elements reinforced with Fibre-Reinforced Polymers "FRP" composite materials for sustainable infrastructures applications including bridge deck slabs and barrier walls, beam-column joints, continuous beams, flat slabs, and pre-cast/pre-stressed concrete elements;
♦ Structural Health Monitoring "SHM" systems using Fiber Optic Sensors "FOS" for long term monitoring and performance evaluation of infrastructures.
