Civil and Environmental Engineering Undergraduate Students win 2nd Place at the WEFTEC Competition!

Four Civil and Environmental Engineering undergraduate students won 2nd Place at the International Design Competition held by the Water Environment Federation in New Orleans which was attended by some prestigious schools from across North America.  The University of Windsor team comprised of three graduated students from the Environmental Engineering undergraduate program (Stephanie, Yanting, Hajjar) and one graduated student from the Civil Engineering undergraduate program (Shibin).  Team Windsor qualified to participate in this competition after winning the Regional Water Environment Association of Ontario Competition.  

This year's International Design Competition was divided into two divisions with seven teams participating in the wastewater division and six teams in the environmental division. Team Windsor won 2nd place in the Environmental division for their retrofit stormwater management pond design and preliminary design for stormwater management technologies strategically placed in sensitive areas.
