Media for Experiential Learning in FAHSS

There are several ways to promote your experiential learning activities in FAHSS. The various levels of promotion include:

  • Faculty (social media channels, Blackboard, and FAHSS website)

  • UWindsor Student Associations
  • Departmental (in-class announcements, social media channels, newsletters, websites)

The most prominent channels are those run by Public Affairs. A strong media plan includes a timeline, the appropriate media contacts getting people to your event. The Daily News is a great way to capture media attention as many media outlets regularly review this feed for potential stories. You can connect with Dylan Kristy to get to the main UWindsor Social Media channels which have the highest number of connections on campus. You can connect with Lori Lewis for assistance on constructing a media plan (well in advance) for your event.
