GA and TA Job Postings and Forms

Inter/Summer 2024 Semester

In accordance with Article 12:01 of the CUPE 4580 Collective Agreement, the Faculty of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences invites applications for GA/TA positions in the Summer 2024 term. The Dean’s Office projected TA Funding Allocation for 2023-2024 is $208,000. The specific number of TA hours assigned to each section is based on enrolment. All positions are subject to sufficient enrolment and final budgetary approval.

The following course may utilize a Graduate/Teaching Assistant for Inter/Summer 2024:


GART/SOSC 1210-91 - An Introduction to Indigenous Topics
The total number of projected Graduate Assistantship positions for Inter/Summer term 2024 is 2 GAs for a total of 240 hours or 2 TAs for a total of 200 hours. All positions are subject to sufficient enrolment and final budgetary approval.

Expected GA/TA Duties:

• Hosting office hours to assist students as needed

• Marking written assignments

• Providing online assistance to students as needed

• Assisting in course preparation as needed by course instructor

• Preparing course materials as needed by course instructor

Students cannot commence their GA/TA duties until email confirmation of the approval of their contract is received from Human Resources.
