Student Support Initiatives

The Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences offers a variety of different services, programs and initiatives to help enhance your academic success. Check out some of our initiatives below. 

Academic Advising

Academic Advising (FAHSS)

Each department has a designed academic advisor who will help students select their courses, understand academic policies, and design academic plans for academic success.

Academic Literacy are workshops to help students understand the University of Windsor and FAHSS's academic policies.

Fresh Start

The Fresh Start program builds the skills needed for successful university study through: required course, on-going academic advising, a pre-study workshop, and strategies to improve students’ grades and grade point average (GPA).

A program designed for students who are interested in self-growth and reflection. Through the use of positive psychology, the program will explore the concept of resiliency and how one can realized their own strengths, while overcoming their weaknesses to thrive in apects of their lives.

Pathway to Academic and Student Success (PASS) is a student support program that strategically provides students with the opportunity to achieve academic success.

Flourish is a student support program designed to help students who were required to withdraw (RTW) to have a new academic start.

Reach Peer program

Reach

​Reach is an online peer support program designed to help first and second-year students by providing academic assistance through a virtual platform.

Transform First Year provides students with the skills that they will need to start first year through a series of interactive videos and peer community building.
